In ksh version 20120801, a flaw was found in the way it evaluates certain environment variables. An attacker could use this flaw to override or bypass environment restrictions to execute shell commands. Services and applications that allow remote unauthenticated attackers to provide one of those environment variables could allow them to exploit this issue remotely.
An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel prior to mainline 5.3. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by triggering AP to send IAPP location updates for stations before the required authentication process has completed. This could lead to different denial-of-service scenarios, either by causing CAM table attacks, or by leading to traffic flapping if faking already existing clients in other nearby APs of the same wireless infrastructure. An attacker can forge Authentication and Association Request packets to trigger this vulnerability.
In Phoenix Contact FL SWITCH SMCS series products in multiple versions an attacker may insert malicious code via LLDP frames into the web-based management which could then be executed by the client.
IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW860, FW940, and FW950 could allow an attacker that gains service access to the FSP can read and write arbitrary host system memory through a series of carefully crafted service procedures. IBM X-Force ID: 210018.
Prism is a syntax highlighting library. Some languages before 1.24.0 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS). When Prism is used to highlight untrusted (user-given) text, an attacker can craft a string that will take a very very long time to highlight. This problem has been fixed in Prism v1.24. As a workaround, do not use ASCIIDoc or ERB to highlight untrusted text. Other languages are not affected and can be used to highlight untrusted text.
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the Web Server functionality of Sealevel Systems, Inc. SeaConnect 370W v1.3.34. A specially-crafted man-in-the-middle attack can lead to a disclosure of sensitive information. An attacker can perform a man-in-the-middle attack to trigger this vulnerability.
ASN.1 strings are represented internally within OpenSSL as an ASN1_STRING structure which contains a buffer holding the string data and a field holding the buffer length. This contrasts with normal C strings which are repesented as a buffer for the string data which is terminated with a NUL (0) byte. Although not a strict requirement, ASN.1 strings that are parsed using OpenSSL's own "d2i" functions (and other similar parsing functions) as well as any string whose value has been set with the ASN1_STRING_set() function will additionally NUL terminate the byte array in the ASN1_STRING structure.
Certain NETGEAR devices are affected by denial of service. This affects R6400v2 before 1.0.4.98, R6700v3 before 1.0.4.98, R7900 before 1.0.3.18, and R8000 before 1.0.4.46.
An exploitable vulnerability exists in the WiFi Channel parsing of Circle with Disney running firmware 2.0.1. A specially crafted SSID can cause the device to execute arbitrary sed commands. An attacker needs to setup an access point reachable by the device to trigger this vulnerability.
The default configuration of Cyberoam UTM appliances uses the same Certification Authority certificate and same private key across different customers' installations, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers by leveraging the presence of the Cyberoam_SSL_CA certificate in a list of trusted root certification authorities. NOTE: the vendor disputes the significance of this issue because the appliance "does not allow import or export of the foresaid private key.
A permissions issue was addressed by removing vulnerable code and adding additional checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.4, macOS Sonoma 14.7.5, macOS Ventura 13.7.5. An app may be able to access protected user data.
Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) Update Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
All versions of the package mcp-markdownify-server are vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the Markdownify.get() function. An attacker can craft a prompt that, once accessed by the MCP host, can invoke the webpage-to-markdown, bing-search-to-markdown, and youtube-to-markdown tools to issue requests and read the responses to attacker-controlled URLs, potentially leaking sensitive information.
The vulnerability, if exploited, could allow an authenticated miscreant (Process Optimization Designer User) to embed OLE objects into graphics, and escalate their privileges to the identity of a victim user who subsequently interacts with the graphical elements.
A logic issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.4, macOS Sonoma 14.7.5, macOS Ventura 13.7.5. A sandboxed app may be able to access sensitive user data.
IBM Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager does not require that users should have strong passwords by default, which makes it easier for attackers to compromise user accounts. IBM X-Force ID: 184181.
IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence 5.2.6 does not perform any authentication for functionality that requires a provable user identity or consumes a significant amount of resources. IBM X-Force ID: 192209.
A remote denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the way the Nouveau Display Driver (the default Ubuntu Nvidia display driver) handles GPU shader execution. A specially crafted pixel shader can cause remote denial-of-service issues. An attacker can provide a specially crafted website to trigger this vulnerability. This vulnerability can be triggered remotely after the user visits a malformed website. No further user interaction is required. Vulnerable versions include Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (linux 4.15.0-29-generic x86_64), Nouveau Display Driver NV117 (vermagic: 4.15.0-29-generic SMP mod_unload).
An allocation of memory without limits, that could result in the stack clashing with another memory region, was discovered in systemd-journald when a program with long command line arguments calls syslog. A local attacker may use this flaw to crash systemd-journald or escalate his privileges. Versions through v240 are vulnerable.
The IBM Java Runtime Environment's Diagnostic Tooling Framework for Java (DTFJ) (IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition 6.0 , 7.0, and 8.0) does not protect against path traversal attacks when extracting compressed dump files. IBM X-Force ID: 144882.
