RouterOS SSH enters the connection protocol after a client-requested rekey even though user authentication was never attempted, allowing an unauthenticated client to open a session channel and send an exec request. On affected builds the server dispatches the command, enabling unauthenticated creation, overwrite, and reconstruction of files in the RouterOS managed file namespace, including support files containing configuration and diagnostic data. This issue was fixed in versions: 6.49.21 (Long-term), 7.23.4 (Long-term) and 7.24.2 (Stable)
A weakness has been identified in libssh up to 0.11.3. The impacted element is the function sftp_extensions_get_name/sftp_extensions_get_data of the file src/sftp.c of the component SFTP Extension Name Handler. Executing a manipulation of the argument idx can lead to out-of-bounds read. The attack may be performed from remote. Upgrading to version 0.11.4 and 0.12.0 is sufficient to resolve this issue. This patch is called 855a0853ad3abd4a6cd85ce06fce6d8d4c7a0b60. You should upgrade the affected component.
A flaw has been found in WilliamCloudQi matlab-mcp-server up to ab88f6b9bf5f36f725e8628029f7f6dd0d9913ca. The affected element is the function generate_matlab_code/execute_matlab_code of the file src/index.ts of the component MCP Interface. Executing a manipulation of the argument scriptPath can lead to path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
In iTerm2 through 3.6.9, displaying a .txt file can cause code execution via DCS 2000p and OSC 135 data, if the working directory contains a malicious file whose name is valid output from the conductor encoding path, such as a pathname with an initial ace/c+ substring, aka "hypothetical in-band signaling abuse." This occurs because iTerm2 accepts the SSH conductor protocol from terminal output that does not originate from a legitimate conductor session.
A vulnerability was found in Zen Cart up to 2.2.2. This impacts the function zen_db_perform in the library includes/modules/payment/paypaldp.php of the component PayPal IPN Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument txn_id results in sql injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named 557154f4fa025f51553094f47b06aa024220c48f. It is suggested to install a patch to address this issue.
U-SPEED AC1200 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router (Model: T18-21K) V1.0 is vulnerable to Incorrect Access Control. The device exposes a UART interface that lacks authentication, authorization, or access control mechanisms. An attacker with physical access to the UART pins can connect to the interface and gain unrestricted access to device functionality.
An improper access control vulnerability exists in the Cisco Intersight Device Connector for Nutanix Prism Central. The service exposes an API passthrough endpoint on TCP port 7373 that is accessible within the network scope of the deployment environment without authentication. An unauthenticated attacker with network access can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to the exposed endpoint to enumerate cluster metadata, including virtual machine information and cluster config
A vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software enables an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) to the firewall. Repeated attempts to trigger this issue results in the firewall entering into maintenance mode.
libssh2 through 1.11.1 grows its publickey list with SSH2_REALLOC but does not zero-initialize new entries before parsing populates them, so a parse failure reaching the cleanup path leaves libssh2_publickey_list_free operating on an uninitialized entry. A malicious SSH server offering the publickey subsystem can use a malformed response to make cleanup free an uninitialized, attacker-influenceable attrs pointer in a connecting libssh2 client.
A vulnerability in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to view sensitive information on an affected system. This vulnerability is due to insufficient file system restrictions. An authenticated attacker with netadmin privileges could exploit this vulnerability by accessing the vshell of an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to read sensitive information on the underlying operating system.
An attacker may exploit the use of weak CBC-based cipher suites in the device’s SSH service to potentially observe or manipulate parts of the encrypted SSH communication, if they are able to intercept or interact with the network traffic.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco IMC could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with Admin privileges to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system of an affected system and elevate privileges to root. This vulnerability is due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by entering crafted inputs to the web-based management interface of the affected software. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system as the root
An attacker may exploit the use of outdated and weak MAC algorithms in the device’s SSH service to potentially compromise the integrity of the SSH session, allowing manipulation of transmitted data if the attacker can interact with the network traffic.
A vulnerability was detected in PuTTY 0.83. Affected is the function eddsa_verify of the file crypto/ecc-ssh.c of the component Ed25519 Signature Handler. The manipulation results in improper verification of cryptographic signature. The attack may be performed from remote. The attack requires a high level of complexity. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit is now public and may be used. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. The patch is identified as af996b5ec27ab79bae3882071b9d6acf16044549. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct t
A vulnerability was determined in Beetel 777VR1 up to 01.00.09. This impacts an unknown function of the component SSH Service. This manipulation causes risky cryptographic algorithm. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitability is said to be difficult. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Golioth Firmware SDK version 0.10.0 prior to 0.22.0, fixed in commit 48f521b, contain a stack-based buffer overflow in Payload Utils. The golioth_payload_as_int() and golioth_payload_as_float() helpers copy network-supplied payload data into fixed-size stack buffers using memcpy() with a length derived from payload_size. The only length checks are guarded by assert(); in release builds, the asserts are compiled out and memcpy() may copy an unbounded payload_size. Payloads larger than 12 bytes (int) or 32 bytes (float) can overflow the stack, resulting in a crash/denial of service. This is reac
MikroTik RouterOS accepts malformed RSA/PKCS#1 v1.5 signatures across RSA-based services, including TLS/X.509 certificate validation and SSH host-key authentication. Because its trust store includes an e=3 root CA, an attacker controlling or redirecting an outbound RouterOS TLS connection can use the root’s public certificate - without its private key - to forge a trusted intermediate and issue certificates for arbitrary hostnames, enabling TLS server impersonation. The same permissive verification also undermines RSA-based SSH authentication. This issue affects only 7.x branch was fixed in
A vulnerability has been found in Systerel S2OPC up to 1.7.3. Impacted is the function SOPC_NodeMgtHelperInternal_AddVariableNodeAttributes of the file src/ClientServer/address_space/internal/sopc_node_mgt_helper_internal.c of the component AddNodes Service. The manipulation of the argument UserAccessLevel leads to out-of-bounds read. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitability is considered difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of the patch is aafbd37d381b618312ebdf5d
Golioth Firmware SDK version 0.10.0 prior to 0.22.0, fixed in commit d7f55b38, contain an out-of-bounds read in LightDB State string parsing. When processing a string payload, a payload_size value less than 2 can cause a size_t underflow when computing the number of bytes to copy (nbytes). The subsequent memcpy() reads past the end of the network buffer, which can crash the device. The condition is reachable from on_payload, and golioth_payload_is_null() does not block payload_size==1. A malicious server or MITM can trigger a denial of service.
Observable Timing Discrepancy vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssh (ssh_auth, ssh_options modules) allows unauthenticated remote username enumeration via timing side-channel in password authentication. When the SSH daemon is configured with the user_passwords or password option, ssh_auth:check_password/3 performs a PBKDF2-SHA256 computation with 600,000 iterations (~300ms) for valid usernames, but returns immediately (~0ms) for invalid usernames via the ssh_options:get_password_option/2 path. This timing difference is detectable in a single authentication attempt and allows an unauthenticated atta
