Spy Emergency 25.0.650 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in its Windows service configurations that allows local attackers to execute code with elevated privileges. Attackers can exploit the unquoted file paths in SpyEmergencyHealth.exe and SpyEmergencySrv.exe to inject malicious code during system startup or service restart.
Incorrect Default Permissions in pcvisit service binary on Windows allows a low-privileged local attacker to escalate their privileges by overwriting the service binary with arbitrary contents. This service binary is automatically launched with NT\SYSTEM privileges on boot. This issue affects all versions after 22.6.22.1329 and was fixed in 25.12.3.1745.
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows contains a vulnerability in the DirectX11 user mode driver (nvwgf2um/x.dll), where an unauthorized attacker on the network can cause an out-of-bounds write through a specially crafted shader, which may lead to code execution to cause denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering. The scope of the impact may extend to other components.
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where an unprivileged regular user on the network can cause an out-of-bounds write through a specially crafted shader, which may lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering. The scope of the impact may extend to other components.
BlueSoleilCS 5.4.277 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in its Windows service configuration that allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code. Attackers can exploit the unquoted binary path in 'C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\BlueSoleilCS.exe' to inject malicious executables and escalate privileges.
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows contains a vulnerability in the user-mode layer, where an unprivileged user can cause an out-of-bounds write, which may lead to code execution, information disclosure, and denial of service.
Sandboxie-Plus 5.50.2 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in the SbieSvc Windows service that allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code. Attackers can exploit the unquoted binary path to inject malicious executables that will be run with LocalSystem privileges during service startup.
Disk Sorter Enterprise 13.6.12 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in its Windows service configuration that allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code. Attackers can exploit the unquoted path in 'C:\Program Files\Disk Sorter Enterprise\bin\disksrs.exe' to inject malicious executables and escalate privileges.
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in Commvault for Windows versions 11.20.0, 11.28.0, 11.32.0, 11.34.0, and 11.36.0. In affected configurations, a local attacker who owns a client system with the file server agent installed can compromise any assigned Windows access nodes. This may allow unauthorized access or lateral movement within the backup infrastructure. The issue has been resolved in versions 11.32.60, 11.34.34, and 11.36.8.
win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP1 and SP2, Windows Server 2008 Gold, SP2, R2, and R2 SP1, and Windows 7 Gold and SP1 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application that triggers a NULL pointer dereference, a different vulnerability than other "Vulnerability Type 2" CVEs listed in MS11-034, aka "Win32k Null Pointer De-reference Vulnerability."
The Windows kernel-mode drivers in win32k.sys in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP1 and SP2, and Windows Server 2008 Gold and SP2 do not properly validate user-mode input passed to kernel mode, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application, aka "Win32k User Input Validation Vulnerability."
Use-after-free vulnerability in win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP1 and SP2, Windows Server 2008 Gold, SP2, R2, and R2 SP1, and Windows 7 Gold and SP1 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application that leverages incorrect driver object management, a different vulnerability than other "Vulnerability Type 1" CVEs listed in MS11-034, aka "Win32k Use After Free Vulnerability."
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows when the Win32k component fails to properly handle objects in memory, aka "Win32k Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability." This affects Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 10, Windows 10 Servers. This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2018-8641.
win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and Windows RT does not properly handle objects in memory, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application, aka "Win32k Dereference Vulnerability."
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) handler for DxgkDdiEscape in which a local user can get elevated privileges to modify display configuration data, which may result in denial of service of the display.
Figma Desktop for Windows version 125.6.5 contains a command injection vulnerability in the local plugin loader. An attacker can execute arbitrary OS commands by setting a crafted build field in the plugin's manifest.json. This field is passed to child_process.exec without validation, leading to possible RCE. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because the behavior only allows a local user to attack himself via a local plugin. The local build procedure, which is essential to the attack, is not executed for plugins shared to the Figma Community.
Windows Cryptographic Services Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Improper access control in Zoom Rooms for Windows before version 5.15.0 may allow an authenticated user to enable an escalation of privilege via local access.
IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes DB2 Connect Server) 9.7, 10.1, 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking which could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges. IBM X-Force ID: 174960.
The GalaxyClientService component of GOG Galaxy runs with elevated SYSTEM privileges in a Windows environment. Due to the software shipping with embedded, static RSA private key, an attacker with this key material and local user permissions can effectively send any operating system command to the service for execution in this elevated context. The service listens for such commands on a locally-bound network port, localhost:9978. A Metasploit module has been published which exploits this vulnerability. This issue affects the 2.0.x branch of the software (2.0.12 and earlier) as well as the 1.2.x
