In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: mxs-auart: add spinlock around changing cts state The uart_handle_cts_change() function in serial_core expects the caller to hold uport->lock. For example, I have seen the below kernel splat, when the Bluetooth driver is loaded on an i.MX28 board. [ 85.119255] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 85.124413] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 27 at /drivers/tty/serial/serial_core.c:3453 uart_handle_cts_change+0xb4/0xec [ 85.134694] Modules linked in: hci_uart bluetooth ecdh_generic ecc wlcore_sdio configfs
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4.2: fix nfs4_listxattr kernel BUG at mm/usercopy.c:102 A call to listxattr() with a buffer size = 0 returns the actual size of the buffer needed for a subsequent call. When size > 0, nfs4_listxattr() does not return an error because either generic_listxattr() or nfs4_listxattr_nfs4_label() consumes exactly all the bytes then size is 0 when calling nfs4_listxattr_nfs4_user() which then triggers the following kernel BUG: [ 99.403778] kernel BUG at mm/usercopy.c:102! [ 99.404063] Internal error: Oops - BUG: 000000

An issue in Loom on macOS version 0.196.1 and before, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the RunAsNode and enableNodeClilnspectArguments settings. NOTE: the vendor disputes this because it requires local access to a victim's machine.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: compress: fix reserve_cblocks counting error when out of space When a file only needs one direct_node, performing the following operations will cause the file to be unrepairable: unisoc # ./f2fs_io compress test.apk unisoc #df -h | grep dm-48 /dev/block/dm-48 112G 112G 1.2M 100% /data unisoc # ./f2fs_io release_cblocks test.apk 924 unisoc # df -h | grep dm-48 /dev/block/dm-48 112G 112G 4.8M 100% /data unisoc # dd if=/dev/random of=file4 bs=1M count=3 3145728 bytes (3.0 M) copied, 0.025 s, 120 M/s unisoc # df -h | gr

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/sve: Discard stale CPU state when handling SVE traps The logic for handling SVE traps manipulates saved FPSIMD/SVE state incorrectly, and a race with preemption can result in a task having TIF_SVE set and TIF_FOREIGN_FPSTATE clear even though the live CPU state is stale (e.g. with SVE traps enabled). This has been observed to result in warnings from do_sve_acc() where SVE traps are not expected while TIF_SVE is set: | if (test_and_set_thread_flag(TIF_SVE)) | WARN_ON(1); /* SVE access shouldn't
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: do not call vma_add_reservation upon ENOMEM sysbot reported a splat [1] on __unmap_hugepage_range(). This is because vma_needs_reservation() can return -ENOMEM if allocate_file_region_entries() fails to allocate the file_region struct for the reservation. Check for that and do not call vma_add_reservation() if that is the case, otherwise region_abort() and region_del() will see that we do not have any file_regions. If we detect that vma_needs_reservation() returned -ENOMEM, we clear the hugetlb_restore_reserve
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: call the security_mmap_file() LSM hook in remap_file_pages() The remap_file_pages syscall handler calls do_mmap() directly, which doesn't contain the LSM security check. And if the process has called personality(READ_IMPLIES_EXEC) before and remap_file_pages() is called for RW pages, this will actually result in remapping the pages to RWX, bypassing a W^X policy enforced by SELinux. So we should check prot by security_mmap_file LSM hook in the remap_file_pages syscall handler before do_mmap() is called. Otherwise, it po
