In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_api: fix possible infinite loop in tcf_idr_check_alloc() syzbot found hanging tasks waiting on rtnl_lock [1] A reproducer is available in the syzbot bug. When a request to add multiple actions with the same index is sent, the second request will block forever on the first request. This holds rtnl_lock, and causes tasks to hang. Return -EAGAIN to prevent infinite looping, while keeping documented behavior. [1] INFO: task kworker/1:0:5088 blocked for more than 143 seconds. Not tainted 6.9.0-rc4-syzkaller-00
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in degamma hardware format translation Fixes index out of bounds issue in `cm_helper_translate_curve_to_degamma_hw_format` function. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds the function returns false to indicate an error. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ice: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference in ice_bridge_setlink() The function ice_bridge_setlink() may encounter a NULL pointer dereference if nlmsg_find_attr() returns NULL and br_spec is dereferenced subsequently in nla_for_each_nested(). To address this issue, add a check to ensure that br_spec is not NULL before proceeding with the nested attribute iteration.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: printk: Fix signed integer overflow when defining LOG_BUF_LEN_MAX Shifting 1 << 31 on a 32-bit int causes signed integer overflow, which leads to undefined behavior. To prevent this, cast 1 to u32 before performing the shift, ensuring well-defined behavior. This change explicitly avoids any potential overflow by ensuring that the shift occurs on an unsigned 32-bit integer.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix infinite loop when replaying fast_commit When doing fast_commit replay an infinite loop may occur due to an uninitialized extent_status struct. ext4_ext_determine_insert_hole() does not detect the replay and calls ext4_es_find_extent_range(), which will return immediately without initializing the 'es' variable. Because 'es' contains garbage, an integer overflow may happen causing an infinite loop in this function, easily reproducible using fstest generic/039. This commit fixes this issue by unconditionally initi

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: chemical: bme680: Fix overflows in compensate() functions There are cases in the compensate functions of the driver that there could be overflows of variables due to bit shifting ops. These implications were initially discussed here [1] and they were mentioned in log message of Commit 1b3bd8592780 ("iio: chemical: Add support for Bosch BME680 sensor"). es5-ext contains ECMAScript 5 extensions. Passing functions with very long names or complex default argument names into `function#copy` or `function#toStringTokens` may cause the script to stall. The vulnerability is patched in v0.10.63.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtmutex: Drop rt_mutex::wait_lock before scheduling rt_mutex_handle_deadlock() is called with rt_mutex::wait_lock held. In the good case it returns with the lock held and in the deadlock case it emits a warning and goes into an endless scheduling loop with the lock held, which triggers the 'scheduling in atomic' warning. Unlock rt_mutex::wait_lock in the dead lock case before issuing the warning and dropping into the schedule for ever loop. [ tglx: Moved unlock before the WARN(), removed the pointless comment, massaged
